The Mississippi Bandmasters Association previously maintained a Required Music List, but now they require members to choose from the National Band Association list.
The former process is listed below.
To add a piece to the list:
Required Music Submission Process
• Music for consideration should be sent to the appropriate Music Selection Committee representative.
• The packet should include a full score, a recording (if possible), grade level, and a paragraph explaining why the piece should be added. Links to scores and recordings may be emailed as long as they are full length.
• The deadline to submit music suggestions to a representative is December 1.
• If needed, an addendum to the Required Music List will be made available by the Music Selection Committee at the MBA State Band Clinic in December and on the MBA website.
